Lu I can’t thank you enough for having me and Oliver over for his photo session. As it was the first time I had left the house with Oliver alone I was feeling quite overwhelmed. From the moment I arrived and stepped into your peaceful home I felt completely calm. You had thought of everything, from the homemade goodies and jug of fresh mint water, to the perfect room temperature! I felt so supported as a mum out with her newborn for the first time. You have such a natural way with babies it’s was beautiful to watch you at work with my little boy. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to capture fleeting moment of newborn bliss. My pictures are magical and will I will treasure them for life. My one negative comment is that I wish I had been here in HK with my first three babies so I could have done the same with them! This Mama was glowing and looking absolutely stunning. She was totally riding that newborn high with cheeky baby Oliver. Even at only 12 days Earth side, he had his own personality shining through... and the best rolls, literally the most perfect chunk. There are always a set of particular captures I strive to achieve in every photoshoot for parents in every one of my sessions. When I have them in the bag, my soul literally does a happy dance. As a mum myself, I know which memories make my heart happy when looking at memories of my own littles. I love to record those moments that I know they will want to have as forever tangible memories, that they can literally hold in their hands.
In one of my diary rants today (aka basically how I seem to use Lullaby's instagram account, lol), I highlighted how easy it is for the moments of today that make us smile, to be lost in digital dust land. It genuinely scares the crap out of me. I have tens of thousands of images, videos and voice recordings of my family.
It is all about tangible memories. Of wall art. Of printed photos that we can hold in our hands.... So we can hold on and show through the generations, what mattered and continues to matter most. Family

WHO IS BEHIND LULLABY IMAGES?
Hi! I am Lu, a Hong Kong based photographer specialising exclusively in newborn and baby portraits from my home studio in Clear Water Bay. Lullaby Images was established in 2016 and I have extensive training and experience in newborn baby posing and baby safety. I am a mum to a fiercely independent pre-schooler and a baby boy born in December 2020. With both professional and personal experience with tiny humans, baby safety and comfort is at the heart of all my photo sessions.
BOOKING ANNOUNCEMENT
I am usually fully booked 3 months in advance. At the moment I am fully booked until the end of May, with bookings through until August. If you are interested in a photoshoot, please reach out early! If you have come across my work and want to try to book a last minute shoot, I usually have a waitlist and will do what I can, where possible.
WAITLIST
Sometimes additional photo sessions are made available at the end of the month, for the following booking month. After I have updates from my confirmed clients regarding their pregnancies and birth plans, I am sometimes able to wiggle in 1-2 more sessions. If you would like to be waitlisted for these, please do get in contact.
I hate saying 'no', so please help me say it less by reaching out to talk about your newborn photography session well before your due date. I only take on a limited number of bookings a month
and many Mamas reach out to me in their first & second trimester to book in their sesion.
