Hi there, and welcome to my little corner of the internet! I’m Louise, most call me Lu —a photographer, storyteller, and proud mum to two little ones. I specialize in capturing the fleeting, magical moments of early family life, because I know firsthand how quickly they pass. When our daughter Anya arrived in 2017, followed by our son Lucas in late 2020, my world shifted in the most beautiful way.
Parenthood is a wild mix of wonder and exhaustion—where a single burp can feel like a triumph, and the days blur into a fog of love, chaos, and growth. I get it. I live it. Family is everything to me.
One of my biggest fears is missing their firsts—and just as importantly, not noticing their lasts. That’s why I only take on a limited number of photo shoots each month, so I can stay present in these early years, and give my clients the same care and attention I give my own family.
It all began with a secondhand Vivitar XV-1. In 2000, my father placed that well-loved analogue camera in my hands, and something shifted. Suddenly, I saw the world through a different lens—noticing how light danced across a face, and how emotion lingered in the quiet, unscripted moments in between. I fell in love with capturing life exactly as it unfolded: raw, candid, and beautifully real.
That spark carried me to London, where I spent five years apprenticing under a veteran photographer. Under his mentorship, I honed my technical craft, discovered the magic of medium format film, and earned national recognition, placing in the top five across England for my A-Level photo essays.
In 2007, I returned home to Hong Kong, the city where I was born and raised. My childhood here was steeped in coastal hikes, wild beaches, and a deep connection to the ocean—elements that still infuse the natural, organic way I shoot today. Since returning, I’ve had the privilege of traveling across Southeast Asia on volunteer assignments, documenting stories for NGOs like Outreach International Philippines, Humanitarian Services for Children Vietnam, and local initiatives including CWS HK, the Society for AIDS Care, and Breast Cancer Awareness HK.
For me, photography has never been just a profession. It is a way to connect, to serve, and to preserve the fleeting moments that matter most.
Newborn photography is where my heart found its home. In 2013, I stumbled into this world—and never looked back. There is something completely captivating about those first days of life: the fragility, the wonder, and the quiet strength. I knew instantly that I wanted to dedicate my lens to preserving the fleeting details you never want to forget, creating a visual legacy that reminds you exactly what it felt like to hold your family close in those early days.
To serve my families best, I’ve had the privilege of training under two of the world's leading award-winning newborn photographers: Kelly Brown (Australia) and Julia Kelleher (USA). Their mentorship deeply shaped my approach, ensuring that every session is grounded in absolute safety, comfort, and respect for your baby’s wellbeing.
In 2016, I founded Lullaby Images with a clear mission: to create a studio devoted exclusively to newborn and family photography. No weddings. No corporate events. Just the pure, intimate beauty of family life. When you book a session, you are placing your little one in professionally trained, deeply experienced hands—where every movement is intentional and every detail is considered.
Beyond the studio, I am a collector of life's simple pleasures: a micro-gardener, an amateur chef, a licensed skipper of sail and motorboats, and a sunset chaser who is happiest by the ocean. These passions all stem from the same place as my photography—a love for discovery, a deep appreciation for nature, and above all, a devotion to family.
If you’re looking for someone who understands the beauty in the everyday, and who can freeze those fleeting moments into something timeless, I’d be honored to connect.
