I had so much fun in this maternity photography session at the end of February! Despite feeling a little under the weather with a cough, this mama was one day shy of 37 weeks pregnant and she was an absolute trooper. After moving some furniture around so I could use the best light in their home, the bump photoshoot was relaxed with no fixed concepts in mind. We kept it very casual and fun with her family very much appart of the flow. I enjoyed working on the spot harnessing the great natural light from their floor to ceiling windows, which offered our session some gorgeous soft feathered light. We played around with a variety of setups and compositions, as well as a few wardrobe changes, to get a nice range for their maternity photo collection to capture this special time in their lives. I love the final collection. Light. Airy. Simple. Elegant. Timeless. Filled with so much warmth and love.

Maternity photo sessions are always so personal and a wonderful way to get to know the parents before the actual newborn photo session… I cannot wait to meet their little one later this month when I return back for our bespoke in home newborn photography session. Here are a few highlight images from our session.

I am a Hong Kong based photographer specialising exclusively in newborn and baby portraits, establishing Lullaby Images in 2016. I have extensive training in newborn baby posing and safety. I am a mum to a fiercely independent toddler who loves little adventures. With both professional and personal experience with tiny humans, baby safety and comfort is at the heart of all my photo sessions.

I hate saying 'no'. Help me say it less by reaching out to talk about your newborn photography session well before your due date. I only take on a limited number of bookings a month and many Mamas reach out to me in their second trimester to book in their session.
