"I cannot say enough good things about Lu. As new residents of Hong Kong, I searched so many blogs and websites to find the perfect photographer for our 3rd baby’s newborn photos. As soon as I saw Lullaby Images I knew Lu’s style was exactly what I was looking for. She captured every detail just perfectly. Trying to get family photos with a 3 year old, 16 month old and newborn is no easy task. Lu was so patient and caring our entire session. I never felt rushed or hustled through our time. Lu was able to capture the sweetest family moments I will cherish forever. I’m so lucky I found her."

Introducing baby Weston Matthew. Isn't he just pure sugar? This handsome little man is surrounded by so much warmth and love in his home. I have nothing but awe for the mama of baby Weston. She is the kind of rockstar Mama who takes it all in her stride, has 3 kids under 4 years old... and man isn't she just gorgeous?! Check out the image highlights below. It's a rare thing to look that fabulous after 3 kids, let alone after only 3 weeks from having your third baby while still running around looking after the first two.

As I entered my own third trimester in September, I made the tough decision to only offer lifestyle in-home newborn photography sessions until I go on maternity leave. The in-home advanced posing from my bespoke sessions, which requires 2-3 suitcases of gear and can take anywhere from 2-4 hours (while wearing a face mask in 28oC), were starting to be just that little bit too challenging on me physically. I did want to continue to offer some posing elements though... so I created the Lullaby Images' 'Lifestyle Plus Sessions'. They stil prioritise capturing all that warmth and love of the family connection in those fleeting newborn days, both candidly and with some gentle guided poses where the light is most beautiful in your home... and now, as I didn't want to miss out on the baby posing element completely, I have found a way of incorporating adapted versions of my advanced posing.

So now to replace my extensive posing frame and blanket backdrops, I have been using the parent's as my props. Since I started doing these sessions in September, I have grown to absolutely adore these style of images. They are so much more unique to the family, as they incorporate the parent's in a subtle way, whilst letting the focus remain on the baby. I get to continue to use my experience in advanced safe baby posing, by using the parent's shoulder to do a ‘hands-on-the-chin pose’. Or the parent's chest to do an adapted ‘tushy up pose’. Or the parent’s hands to do an adapted ‘froggy pose’. Then of course to add that little bit more variety, with my smallest posing bean bag, I capture the 'Lullaby Images In Your Arms Signature Series'. This creative series illustrates just how tiny the little one is in their parent's hands, making the most gorgeous wall art portraits. To add even more variety to the newborn collection, I capture another whole series of the baby posed adorably curled up. Shoot from overhead and different angles. With a variety of beautiful lighting. Their feathery eye-lashes, tiny toes, pouty lips, their cute nose, shape of their ears… everything is documented. Then lastly, I photograph the baby to set up for the Lullaby Images' newborn art image, which I offer as a bonus, just to top off the collection .

So for the time being, whilst I am no longer offering my bespoke traditional advanced posing sessions, I love love love that I am still able to use my extensive newborn specialist photography experience to offer my clients so much value, by bringing my Lullaby Images' 'Lifestyle Plus Sessions' to their homes.

I am a Hong Kong based photographer specialising exclusively in newborn and baby portraits, establishing Lullaby Images in 2016. I have extensive training in newborn baby posing and safety. I am a mum to a fiercely independent toddler who loves little adventures. With both professional and personal experience with tiny humans, baby safety and comfort is at the heart of all my photo sessions.

I hate saying 'no'. Help me say it less by reaching out to talk about your newborn photography session well before your due date. I only take on a limited number of bookings a month and many Mamas reach out to me in their second trimester to book in their sesion.
