"Lu’s home studio was so comfortable, especially with a 2 week old and toddler. It was easy to relax and sit back while she worked her magic! She’s a real baby whisperer—I don’t think my little one has ever slept better than during his session, and the photos turned out absolutely beautiful. The whole experience was relaxing and worry-free!"

This was one of my first few sessions in the diary scheduled for after my maternity leave. I had originally planned to take a longer maternity leave and open up bookings from after May, but that ended up being the end of April and those due dates ended up being born a few weeks earlier... So in the end, I started up again on Easter weekend. The only way that it has been possible, is because this year I made the decision to only do photo sessions from my home studio. On a personal note, this allows me to continue me exclusively breastfeeding baby Lucas and not feel like I need to be horizontal for 3 hours after every single session (they used to be physically exhausting, especially in home client sessions with 2-3 30 inch suitcases, the set up, session, packing away and travel time).
For my clients, the studio set up is perfect for my style and what I love to offer. The lighting from my floor to ceiling terrace doors is quite literally perfect... and on the gloomier weather days, I am able to use my studio light with a huge modifier to create super soft light. I am able to offer a much wider variety of compositions, set ups and concepts for my clients collections. This is simply because I have everything set up ahead of time and can streamline a more efficient workflow, in the time that they have with me. The end result? Parents have a much bigger soft gallery collection to choose their final images from. It has been such a dream come true for me and where I had hoped to get to way back in 2016 when I started Lullaby Images.
This session with baby Adam was for a mum friend who I met back in 2017 when Anya was born, as our first born kids have grown up together. Baby Adam is a total clone copy of his handsome bigger brother and was a dream to have in the studio. I am looking forward to seeing how he changes as he grows into a bigger tiny human. This mama is definitely part of an awesome Mum tribe that I am so grateful to have found to share the good, the bad, the ugly and the downright ridiculous, in parenting moments. It absolutely takes a village!

Who is behind Lullaby Images?
Hi! I am Lu, a Hong Kong based photographer specialising exclusively in newborn and baby portraits from my home studio in Clear Water Bay. Lullaby Images was established in 2016 and I have extensive training in newborn baby posing and safety. I am a mum to a fiercely independent pre-schooler and a baby boy born in December 2020. With both professional and personal experience with tiny humans, baby safety and comfort is at the heart of all my photo sessions. I hate saying 'no', so please help me say it less by reaching out to talk about your newborn photography session well before your due date. I only take on a limited number of bookings a month and many Mamas reach out to me in their second trimester to book in their sesion.
BOOKING ANNOUNCEMENT
I am fully booked until August 2021. Please reach out for due dates and milestones for September 2021+
WAITLIST
Sometimes additional photo sessions are made available at the end of the month, for the following booking month. After I have updates from my confirmed clients regarding their pregnancies and birth plans, I am sometimes able to wiggle in 1-2 more sessions. If you would like to be waitlisted for these, please do get in contact.
