We had such a challenging afternoon with our newborn who fussed and hardly stayed asleep, and I was quietly stressed that we wouldn’t have beautiful photos to show for it to add to Lu’s already incredible portfolio of work.
I really needn’t have worried: Lu is the consummate professional both in and out of the studio. She worked quickly and confidently to get the best out of all three of us (neither my husband nor I love being photographed all that much), and the stunning photos we now have are ones we will truly cherish forever.

I am SO grateful for all my lovely clients who trust me with the most important thing in their world. Even more so when they travel literally across Hong Kong to me. When I started up again after maternity leave, I had concerns that Clear Water Bay might be a little too far for most, surprisingly, it hasn't been a problem. From Kennedy Town and Central, outside of rush hour traffic, it only takes about 35 minutes to reach my home studio. For those worried about leaving their home with their newborn, I've been told it is a lovely first trip. I make sure my space is comfortable for recovering Mamas with the perfect room temperature, refreshments, teas (and coffees) as well as home baked nibbles. You are literally going from your home, direct to mine, where we can control all the elements to your comfort.
The real benefit though is that the session is prepared and streamlined in my space, so you maximise your time with me and get more for your investment. A wider variety of images than what I could do if I was coming to your home. From candid family portraits of inbetween moments of love and connection, to simple white blanket set ups for my advanced baby poses, back-lit portraits, a few prop setups and the Lullaby Images In Your Arms Signature Series too, all with the most lovely light. To be honest, it will be very difficult for me to offer in home sessions again when Lucas is older, unless maybe, they are lifestyle only shoots...
This session is for beautiful baby Ailsa. I absolutely adore her newborn collection. Pretty much every single image is one that I would love of my own family, which is what I strive for in all my photoshoots. So when Mama is totally aligned with me on what we love aesthetically and my minimalist photography style, it is perfect when they basically say, "You do you". As a photographer, that is quite literally the best we can hope for! It has been a dream having baby Ailsa on my screen and getting to know her Mama. It makes doing what I do, that little bit more rewarding.
WHO IS BEHIND LULLABY IMAGES?
Hi! I am Lu, a Hong Kong based photographer specialising exclusively in newborn, baby and family portraits from my home studio in Clear Water Bay. Lullaby Images was established in 2016 and I have extensive training and experience in newborn baby posing and baby safety. I am a mum to a fiercely independent pre-schooler and a baby boy born in December 2020. With both professional and personal experience with tiny humans, baby safety and comfort is at the heart of all my photo sessions.

Sometimes additional photo sessions are made available at the end of the month, for the following booking month. After I have updates from my confirmed clients regarding their pregnancies and birth plans, I am sometimes able to wiggle in 1-2 more sessions. If you would like to be waitlisted for these, please do get in contact.
I hate saying 'no', so please help me say it less by reaching out to talk about your newborn photography session well before your due date. I only take on a limited number of bookings a month
and many Mamas reach out to me in their first & second trimester to book in their sesion.
