It is fabulous that you have decided to invest in your family and booked in for a Christmas mini photo shoot in Hong Kong! Whether you are local residents or visiting families looking for a special holiday vacation keepsake, I am so grateful you chose me to capture your tribe. I cannot wait to connect with you and be part of your memory-making for what has become such a lovely annual family tradition.

╸ Glamour Ready & on time ╸

This is a very special full day of minis at my Clear Water Bay studio, and photo shoots are booked back-to-back across the day. Because of this tight flow, I cannot make special schedule adjustments or extend sessions if families arrive late. Please aim to arrive 5 to 10 minutes early so you have plenty of time to settle in.

• The Waiting Area: The terrace garden will be set up as a welcoming waiting area with drinks and nibbles for you to help yourself to. Arriving early keeps everyone calm, un-flustered, and happy—which is the absolute best way to help little ones bring out their magic smiles.
• Studio Temperature: Please note that the studio will be set to cooler temperatures to keep everyone comfortable under the lighting and styling setups.
• Need Help? If you are running late on the day, please give me a call or WhatsApp on 9443 8806. If I'm behind the camera, I will check in on my phone in-between sessions and come back to you.

╸ TWO STYLED SETUPS ╸

My studio is a cozy space, and I will have two gorgeous setups ready for these minis:

1. A forest vibe: Rich, deep green tones from dense, undressed Christmas trees wrapped only in warm, twinkling fairy lights against a deep chocolate brown wall. Paired with a leather open armchair and cozy warm chunky knitted dark green textures, it creates a cinematic, high-end holiday vibe.
2. The Minimalist Lounge: A clean, bright white sofa setup designed for timeless, intimate family connection with zero distractions.

╸wardrobe guide ╸

To make the most of both sets, I recommend keeping things simple:

• Textures & Tones: Lean into textures e.g. knits, linen, wool, warm autumnal or earthy color palettes. Think deep greens, browns, chocolates, creams, and whites will work wonderfully against both the pine trees and the minimalist white sofa.
• Shoes On: Please remember to wear shoes for the session, as footwear completes the look across both setups!
• Bring a Change of top: If you want to switch up your vibe a little, you can consider layering differently between the rich forest and the timeless lounge. Feel free to pack an extra jumper or change of top for a quick change. Keep in mind that the session is only 30 minutes. The less time fussing with changing, the more magic we can capture together.
• The Dos: Choose simple, clean necklines that don't flutter up and cover your little ones' faces. Coordinate your family's tones without needing to be strictly "matchy-matchy."
• The Don'ts: Avoid loud words, distracting brand logos, or watches that draw the eye away from your faces. Make sure clothes (especially for little ones) have been tried on beforehand so you know they fit comfortably!

╸ Embracing the Beautiful Chaos ╸

For those bringing little ones, please make sure their bellies are full and they aren't overdue for a nap! If you have favorite quiet snacks or a special toy that helps them feel secure, bring them along—just keep them hidden until I signal if we need a little extra encouragement. And please don't stress about keeping everyone posing stiffly or looking straight at the camera the entire time. I truly embrace the beautiful chaos with all of my shoots. Those messy, candid, in-between moments—the tickles, the giggles, the unexpected snuggles—often make the best captures that you didn't even know you needed. My sessions include a mix of gently guided family portraits and leaning right into the fun with the littles to capture their big, authentic personalities. I will have lots of fun Christmas Accessories on stand bye too for your to enjoy.

Before you know it, the holidays will be here and gone. When you look back years from now, it’s rarely the perfectly posed photos that pull at your heartstrings—it’s the way they fit into your arms right now, the way they laugh when you tickle them, and the tiny details of this exact season of life. There are so few Christmases while they are little, and that time is fiercely fleeting. So take a deep breath, leave the perfectionism at the door, and let's just be completely present together. Lean into the session, soak up the hugs, and enjoy every second—because in the end, these memories will be priceless and so deeply missed.

╸Directions ╸

The Lullaby Images Studio is in a wonderful pocket of Hong Kong, and it is a little hidden. I will have signs up to mark the entrance to make it a little easier to find, and also have clear directions with images to help you - for full directions, with photographs, please click here!

There is village street parking available nearby (note there is a small risk of a parking ticket, however so far there has only been two tickets issued within 36 months).
