These studio minis are a wonderful, streamlined opportunity to refresh your portraits with the people who matter most. Slowing down to capture authentic moments with your little ones is something you will only grow more thankful for as time moves on, and I guarantee you’ll cherish having these memories frozen from this special season of your lives together.
Here are a few suggestions on how to make the most of your family photography session with me!
╸ Glamour Ready & on time ╸
This is a very special full day of mini sessions at my studio space, with photo shoots booked back-to-back. I schedule these sessions throughout the day with a 30-minute shooting window and a 15-minute buffer in between each family for a quick clean-up and wipe-down of the space.
Because of this smooth flow, please arrive 5–10 minutes early to the studio's covered garden terrace. There is a comfy sofa set waiting for you, along with some drinks and nibbles to help yourself to. Arriving early keeps the vibe relaxed so no one gets flustered, ensuring we capture those magic smiles from your little ones.
If you are running late, please kindly understand that I may not be able to extend your session, as I endeavor to ensure things don't spill over into the next family's spot. If you need help on the day, please feel free to call me on mobile 9443 8806; if I am with my camera, my assistant will pick up and gladly help you out.
╸TIMELESS MINIMALIST SET UPS ╸
My studio is a cozy space where you, your partner, and your family's unique connection take center stage. For me, it’s all about personality portraits—getting those genuine expressions that are so very you and them.
To make the most of our time, I will guide us through a smooth pace to capture everyone together, plus various family combinations (e.g., the whole family, parents together, individual shots with mom and dad, sibling portraits, and solo shots of the kids).

Do's
- Choose simple necklines that don't flutter up and cover faces.
- Embrace layers and textures—they always photograph beautifully.
- Consider neutral, warm, and earthy autumn color palettes (e.g., beige, white, cream, brown, muted green, and rich warm tones).
- Wear complementary tones to each other, keeping in mind that you do not need to be overly "matchy-matchy."
- Wear jewelry if it feels like you!
Don't
- Wear bold colors or busy, loud patterns, unless that is entirely your signature style.
- Wear clothes with words or logos splashed across them.
- Wear watches (unless sentimental), as the watch face can be distracting.
- Bring untried outfits—please make sure everything fits comfortably, especially for little ones.
╸ LittleS ╸
For those bringing little ones, I recommend making sure their bellies are full and they aren't due right at naptime (if they still enjoy a siesta). If there are any motivators that help them relax—like mess-free snacks that don't leave orange food dust everywhere, favorite toys, or familiar songs—feel free to bring them along. However, please kindly keep them hidden until I signal that we might need a little extra magic. I have a few tricks up my sleeve that usually get those natural giggles rolling!

The Lullaby Images Studio is tucked away in a wonderful, peaceful pocket of Hong Kong. I will have some balloons up to mark the entrance to make it easier to find, alongside clear step-by-step directions with photos right here.
There is village street parking available nearby (note that there is a very small risk of a parking ticket, though only a couple have been issued in the past 24 months).

WHO IS BEHIND LULLABY IMAGES?
Hi! I'm Lu, a Hong Kong photographer specializing exclusively in newborn, baby and family portraits from my home studio in Clear Water Bay. Lullaby Images was established in 2016 and I have extensive training and experience in newborn baby posing and baby safety. With both professional and personal experience with tiny humans, baby safety and comfort is at the heart of all my photo sessions.

I am normally fully booked 2 months in advance so if you are interested in a photoshoot, please reach out early!
I currently have bookings through until January 2027.
WAITLIST
If you have just come across my work and want to try to book a last minute shoot, I usually have a waitlist and will do what I can, where possible. Sometimes additional photo sessions are made available at the end of the month, for the following booking month. After I have updates from my confirmed clients regarding their pregnancies and birth plans, I am sometimes able to wiggle in 1-2 more sessions. If you would like to be waitlisted for these, please do get in contact.
I hate saying 'no', so please help me say it less by reaching out to talk about your newborn photography session well before your due date. I only take on a limited number of bookings a month
and many Mamas reach out to me in their first & second trimester to book in their session.
