I had originally planned on going back and doing some newborn photography sessions in February. January came around and I just wasn’t ready to be apart from Anya, with her being only 3 months new at the time. I enjoy being with her so much and she definitely needed a bit more time to settle, truthfully, so did I … Fast forward a few months and we are only a few weeks shy of her 6 month milestone. Time seriously has flown by in a blink of an eye and we are both into somewhat of a rhythm of a routine. Granted, our dance changes almost week to week, if not day to day, but generally speaking we are dancing in time, together. To celebrate, I dipped my toes back in and did my first post maternity newborn photography session last Sunday.
Meet baby Declan. All 3.1kg of him. Honestly, he felt like a feather after carrying around Anya who is now easily over 7kg. Our newborn photography session took place at his home, which has beautiful natural light and was filled with so much warmth. I really enjoyed getting back into it all. As usual, It felt like the session was over in a flash. It’s always this way when I am doing something that I love. It feeds your soul and energises your spirit. Despite a serious lack of sleep the night before, I was running on adrenaline and loved being back in my zone again!
Here are a few highlight images of baby Declan at only 11 days new, from Lullaby Images’ home client session a few days ago.
I am a Hong Kong based photographer specialising exclusively in newborn and baby portraits, establishing Lullaby Images in 2016. I have extensive training in newborn baby posing and safety. I am a mum to a fiercely independent toddler who loves little adventures. With both professional and personal experience with tiny humans, baby safety and comfort is at the heart of all my photo sessions.
I hate saying 'no'. Help me say it less by reaching out to talk about your newborn photography session well before your due date. I only take on a limited number of bookings a month and many Mama's reach out to me in their second trimester to book in their sesion.
