Lu has the magic touch. If you’re baby happens to get a bit cranky she will find a way to calm things down and place his or her limbs in just the right spot for a perfect composition and also a comfy nap! If your baby happens to have gotten a pimple attack the day before the shoot, Lu’s post production skills make those disappear in a flash. Dare we say skin smooth as a baby’s bottom? If your baby happens to frown a lot and look at this world with great consternation, Lu will find the right angle and get a beautiful macro shot to make those little features appear angelic. I have been looking back on my year since April and just can't believe how busy I have been. For the first time since starting Lullaby Images, as a newborn specialist in Hong Kong, I have been fully booked 3-4 months in advance, consistently... and man, am grateful! I genuinely feared that coming to my home studio in Clear Water Bay would be too much for many, so I am so happy to have welcomed some truly lovely families into my space.
To be honest though, I have probably accelerated too much and feel that I need to go back into a lower gear. Three shoots a week while Lucas is still so little, has just been a bit too much... together with the editing and business development. I will be looking to reduce this a little, so I can enjoy Lucas' firsts more. You just cannot buy back time and I am really feeling the gravity of this every day. Lucas will be 10 months old tomorrow. TEN MONTHS. That's just two months away from his first birthday. I am absolutely in denial about it all. Just not ready for it. He is also definitely on the verge of walking. Like any day now.
This session was a little different to my normal bright and neutral whites. A little moodier with some darker tones... I just love the vibe and how the collection has turned out. There is so much love with the family portraits and they are just stunning when converted to black & white. Here are a few highlights from baby Luca's (not Lucas, lol) session with me earlier in the year.
WHO IS BEHIND LULLABY IMAGES?
Hi! I am Lu, a Hong Kong based photographer specialising exclusively in newborn and baby portraits from my home studio in Clear Water Bay. Lullaby Images was established in 2016 and I have extensive training and experience in newborn baby posing and baby safety. I am a mum to a fiercely independent pre-schooler and a baby boy born in December 2020. With both professional and personal experience with tiny humans, baby safety and comfort is at the heart of all my photo sessions.

WAITLIST
Sometimes additional photo sessions are made available at the end of the month, for the following booking month. After I have updates from my confirmed clients regarding their pregnancies and birth plans, I am sometimes able to wiggle in 1-2 more sessions. If you would like to be waitlisted for these, please do get in contact.
I hate saying 'no', so please help me say it less by reaching out to talk about your newborn photography session well before your due date. I only take on a limited number of bookings a month
and many Mamas reach out to me in their first & second trimester to book in their sesion.
